Trauma Informed Therapy

for individuals & couples

Change is hard. Being kept an arms length away from the life and relationships you desire is harder.

I’m glad you’re here.

In so many areas of your life, you’re the person who makes things happen. You excel at work, come to the rescue when your friends need help, or have long since been the “family therapist.”

It’s possible you grew up quickly—there wasn’t space at home to act like a child; something happened when you were young, that was far beyond your years.

Now, amid all the things in your life that are going well, you recognize that a part of you is stuck in the past.

Whether it shows itself in anxious spirals, depressive episodes, shame, self doubt, or having the same fight with your partner, over and over again—you’re exhausted and you’re ready for a change.

You are not alone. This is the moment where I first meet so many of my clients.

My name’s Anna and I’m a Colorado-based Individual and Couple’s Therapist who specializes in trauma recovery, self esteem and intimacy.

I work with people to understand the purpose behind their patterns and build lives rooted in connection and authenticity.

I believe in the power of relationships as an agent for change and invest wholeheartedly in my connection to clients.

I use an integrative approach, weaving together practices from Narrative Therapy, IFS and EMDR.

If you’re new to therapy, or this is the next chapter in a lifetime of work, taking the first step can feel overwhelming.

About me:

I was born and raised just outside of Boston and knew from a young age that I wanted to be a therapist.

While completing my B.A. in Psychology, I was introduced to Social Work and immediately felt drawn to its holistic approach to mental health and emphasis on social justice.

After earning my Master’s degree, I spent several years working as a therapist in healthcare settings, conducting assessments within the juvenile justice system, and providing community-based care to low-income adults. Before taking the leap and opening a practice of my own, I worked as a lead therapist and clinical supervisor on a high-intensity treatment team.

The years I spent working outside of the traditional therapy room at the onset of my career lives at the foundation of my work. It deepened my respect for clients’ authority over their own lives and strengthened my commitment to collaboration, transparency, and authentic relationships.

Now, I have the opportunity to offer care in a setting I’ve spent the last several years building. I prioritize support for queer and trans individuals, couples and survivors of sexual and developmental trauma. I see symptoms and cycles as parts of a person’s story, embedded in the ways they once had to survive. I focus my work on connection and purpose rather than approaching people as a problem needing to be fixed.

Outside of my clinical work, I spend as much time outdoors as possible—running, backpacking, biking, and skiing. I hope to one day develop an outdoor recreation group that supports young women and non-binary folks to step beyond their comfort zone and engage in nature and movement as part of their healing.
